1. Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Firearms Directory concerning your access to and use of FirearmsDirectory.com and related services. By using the website, creating an account, claiming a Listing, buying a plan, or submitting content, you accept these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a contract. If you act for a business, you represent that you have authority to bind it.

2. Directory role

Firearms Directory is an independent information, directory, and advertising platform. It is not a firearm dealer, broker, auction house, transfer agent, licensing body, certifying organization, law firm, or law-enforcement agency. Firearms Directory does not take possession of, sell, ship, transfer, or inspect firearms, ammunition, or regulated products and is not a party to transactions between users and listed businesses.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate registration information, protect your credentials, and promptly report unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account. Accounts may not be sold, transferred, shared with unauthorized persons, or used to impersonate another person or business.

4. Listings and user content

All Listings and submitted content must comply with the Listing Policy, Review & Content Policy, Verification Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy. You retain ownership of your content but grant Firearms Directory a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, format, reproduce, display, distribute, and promote it in connection with operating and marketing the platform.

5. Third-party businesses and links

Listings, links, advertisements, reviews, and third-party services are provided for convenience. Firearms Directory does not control or guarantee third-party products, credentials, conduct, prices, availability, safety, legality, or websites. Users must investigate providers and applicable legal requirements independently.

6. Plans, payments, and advertising

Purchases are governed by the Pricing page, checkout terms, Advertising Policy, and Subscription, Cancellation & Refund Policy in effect when ordered. Paid placement is advertising and does not constitute endorsement. Taxes and authorized recurring charges may apply.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use the platform for unlawful transactions, prohibited-person access, straw purchases, evasion of required transfers or background checks, fraud, infringement, harassment, malware, scraping that burdens the service, search manipulation, unauthorized commercial messaging, or any conduct prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The Firearms Directory name, website design, software, databases, text, graphics, and other platform materials are owned by or licensed to Firearms Directory. No right is granted except the limited right to use the website under these Terms. Third-party names and marks remain property of their owners.

9. Moderation and termination

Firearms Directory may review, correct, restrict, suspend, remove, or refuse content or accounts to enforce policies, protect users, address legal requests, investigate misconduct, or maintain platform integrity. Serious or repeated violations may result in termination without restoration of promotional benefits, subject to applicable law.

THE WEBSITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FIREARMS DIRECTORY DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. NO LISTING, BADGE, REVIEW, OR ADVERTISEMENT IS A GUARANTEE OR ENDORSEMENT.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FIREARMS DIRECTORY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL; OR THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT OR TRANSACTIONS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FIREARMS DIRECTORY’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE WEBSITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO FIREARMS DIRECTORY DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR $100.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Firearms Directory and its owners, personnel, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your content, Listing, business, products, services, legal violations, infringement, misuse of the website, or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Disputes and governing terms

These Terms and any dispute arising from the website or Firearms Directory services are governed by applicable United States law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any claim must be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction over the parties and dispute. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer right or remedy.

14. Changes and severability

Firearms Directory may update these Terms prospectively. Updated Terms will show a new effective date, and material changes may be announced through the website, account, or email. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent legally permitted.
