1. Genuine experiences
Reviews must describe a genuine first-hand experience with the listed business, instructor, course, event, product, or service. Reviews should be relevant, factually grounded, and written by the person whose experience is described.
2. Conflicts and incentives
Owners, employees, contractors, close relatives, competitors, and others with undisclosed conflicts may not manipulate reviews. Reviews may not be bought, sold, exchanged, fabricated, submitted in bulk, or conditioned on discounts, gifts, refunds, services, or other incentives without clear disclosure and legal compliance.
3. Business solicitation
Businesses may invite all customers to provide honest feedback but may not require a positive review, selectively solicit only favorable customers, pressure reviewers, offer rewards solely for positive sentiment, or retaliate for criticism.
4. Prohibited content
Reviews, responses, photographs, and comments may not contain threats, hate, harassment, obscenity, confidential records, permit information, payment information, doxxing, impersonation, spam, malware, infringement, unlawful material, or allegations presented as fact without a reasonable basis.
5. Business responses
Responses must remain professional and may address the experience or correct factual information. They may not reveal private customer, student, medical, payment, permit, or training records or attempt to intimidate the reviewer.
6. Photos and logos
Photos must be relevant and authorized. The primary logo field is reserved for the business’s actual logo—not a business card, storefront photo, promotional banner, collage, service graphic, or instructor-credential image. Other images belong only in appropriate gallery or verification fields.
7. Moderation
Firearms Directory may use automated and human review and may decline, hide, remove, or limit content that violates policy, appears fraudulent, duplicates other content, creates legal or safety concerns, or undermines directory integrity.
8. Disagreements and legal demands
A negative opinion is not removed merely because a business disagrees. Parties should identify specific policy violations and supporting evidence. Court orders and legally sufficient notices will be evaluated under applicable law.
9. Appeals
Appeals may be sent to support@firearmsdirectory.com with the content URL, challenged decision, explanation, and supporting evidence. Submission does not guarantee restoration.
