1. Respect for rights
Users may submit only text, photographs, videos, logos, documents, and other material they own or are authorized to use. Firearms Directory may remove or restrict material that infringes intellectual-property rights.
2. Copyright notices
A copyright complaint should identify the copyrighted work, identify and locate the allegedly infringing material, provide the complaining party’s contact information, include a good-faith statement and an accuracy-and-authority statement under penalty of perjury, and include a physical or electronic signature. Send notices to support@firearmsdirectory.com with “Copyright Notice” in the subject.
3. Counter-notices
A person whose content was removed may submit a legally sufficient counter-notice identifying the removed material, its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, contact information, consent to appropriate federal-court jurisdiction, acceptance of service, and a signature.
4. Trademark and counterfeit complaints
Trademark complaints should identify the mark, registration information if applicable, the complained-of use, why it is confusing or unauthorized, and the complainant’s authority. Counterfeit listings and unauthorized government, agency, certification, or business logos are prohibited.
5. Review and repeat violations
Firearms Directory may request additional information, notify the affected user, remove material, restore material where appropriate, or suspend repeat or serious infringers. False or abusive notices may create legal liability.
6. Platform marks
Firearms Directory names, logos, designs, and branding may not be copied or used to imply partnership, certification, sponsorship, verification, or endorsement without written permission.
