1. Scope
This policy applies to featured Listings, homepage placements, featured events, banners, sponsored content, promotions, and other paid exposure on Firearms Directory.
2. Approval
All advertising is subject to review and continuing compliance. Payment does not guarantee approval. Firearms Directory may reject, pause, request changes to, or remove advertising that is unlawful, misleading, unsafe, infringing, technically incompatible, or inconsistent with platform standards.
3. Advertiser responsibility
Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of claims, prices, dates, credentials, disclosures, promotions, permissions, landing pages, products, and services. Substantiation must be supplied upon request.
4. Prohibited advertising
- Illegal firearms transactions or methods of evading transfer, background-check, age, licensing, or recordkeeping rules;
- False approvals, credentials, guarantees, urgency, prices, reviews, or performance claims;
- Counterfeit, stolen, infringing, discriminatory, obscene, threatening, malicious, or unsafe content;
- Deceptive redirects, malware, data harvesting, or landing pages materially different from the advertisement; and
- Creative that imitates government notices, verification badges, platform alerts, or editorial content.
5. Creative requirements
Materials must meet stated dimensions, formats, quality standards, deadlines, and brand requirements. Advertisers must own or have permission to use all submitted text, images, logos, music, video, trademarks, and likenesses.
6. Placement and labeling
Advertising may be labeled “Featured,” “Sponsored,” “Promoted,” or “Advertisement.” Unless a written order states otherwise, placement may rotate and is not exclusive. Position, frequency, impressions, clicks, inquiries, attendance, rankings, sales, and revenue are not guaranteed.
7. Events
Event promotions must accurately state organizer, location, date, admission terms, restrictions, and material conditions. The advertiser must promptly report cancellation, postponement, relocation, sellout, or material changes.
8. Scheduling and changes
Start dates depend on approval, inventory, scheduling, payment, and timely delivery of final materials. Late materials may shorten or delay a campaign without refund. Changes after approval may require new review, fees, or rescheduling.
9. Cancellation, credits, and make-goods
Cancellation and refund rights are governed by the order and checkout terms. Completed work and delivered placement are nonrefundable except where required by law. If Firearms Directory fails to deliver a material paid placement for reasons within its control, the appropriate remedy may be rescheduling, replacement inventory, or a proportional credit, as determined under the order.
10. Records and enforcement
Firearms Directory may request licenses, substantiation, releases, or other records and may preserve advertising records as required or permitted by law. Policy violations may lead to removal, forfeiture of remaining placement where lawful, account action, or referral to authorities.
