Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines

1. Lawful and responsible use

Use Firearms Directory only for lawful directory, discovery, business-management, review, advertising, and communication purposes. Users must comply with applicable firearms, consumer-protection, advertising, privacy, intellectual-property, anti-spam, and other laws.

2. Firearms-related prohibitions

Users may not use the platform to arrange illegal sales or transfers; evade dealer, background-check, waiting-period, age, license, serialization, or recordkeeping requirements; facilitate straw purchases or prohibited-person access; or promote stolen, counterfeit, unlawfully modified, or otherwise prohibited items.

3. Safety and conduct

Threats, harassment, stalking, doxxing, hate, discrimination, glorification or encouragement of unlawful violence, and content creating an unreasonable safety risk are prohibited.

4. Integrity

Impersonation, false credentials, fake businesses, fabricated reviews, undisclosed conflicts, misleading locations, duplicate Listings, keyword stuffing, scraping intended to republish or exploit the directory, and manipulation of ranking or verification systems are prohibited.

5. Security

Users may not introduce malware; probe or bypass security; access accounts or data without authorization; interfere with service; harvest personal information; automate abusive traffic; or use the website to send spam or phishing messages.

6. Commercial communications

Contact information may not be harvested for unsolicited mass marketing. Messages to listed businesses must be relevant, lawful, and non-deceptive and must honor applicable consent and opt-out requirements.

7. Enforcement

Violations may result in content removal, feature restriction, verification removal, suspension, termination, payment restriction, preservation of evidence, or referral to appropriate authorities. Reports may be sent to support@firearmsdirectory.com.
